 - Nitrogen is  a non-meta, it is diamagnetic, which means it is magnetic when facing 180 degrees toward the magnetic field.

 - It is similar to all group 5 elements, having 5 valence electrons.  But nitrogen is different from two other group 5 elements - alimony and bismuth, as nitrogen is a non-metal and they are metals.

 - Nitrogen reacts best with group 3 elements.
