 - Aluminum is a poor metal, it is not magnetic

 - It is similar to other group 3 elements having three valence electrons, but it is also different from one of the group 3 elements, boron, which, unlike aluminium, is a non-metal.

- Aluminium reacts best with the group 5 non-metals.
